Book Sale & Storytelling session
Starting March this year, LiteracyPlus launched its first initiative to nurture the love for reading amongst pupils and to create a community of avid readers in the Centre. We had an inaugural book sale and storytelling session during the recent March school holidays. It was a resounding success! Check out the event’s video below!
The Scholastic Book Club
LiteracyPlus is proud to bring you the Scholastic Book Club where parents and pupils get to purchase quality children’s books at discounted prices!
Scholastic is the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books.
Our first round of book orders was completed in April. Parents or pupils received book catalogues for their reference, and the books were classified into age groups for easy and appropriate selection.
New! Check out the latest Scholastic Book Club book lists available from Tuesday, September 25 at the Centre:
- Scholastic Book Club list for K1-K2, WordPower! students
- Scholastic Book Club list for Primary One to Six students
- Scholastic Book Club list for Secondary One students
Take your pick from great books at fantastic prices! Books ordered will be delivered in time for your holiday reading.
LitPlus Library’s new look
On 2 July 2012, our newly organised library was re-opened to the delight of the Centre pupils! The reorganisation was done as part of our effort to encourage reading and books borrowing. The books and shelves have been colour-coded, so that it is easy for pupils to browse and borrow.
Student Reference section – Check out the brand-new books in this section, colour-coded pink. This section of our LitPlus library features award-winning books used in our curriculum!
As part of our objective to encourage reading, LiteracyPlus will be organising more reading-related activities in the upcoming months. Stay tuned for the latest news!
